The network has officially ordered the new series Mayans MC, which serves as a spin-off of the successful Sons of Anarchy.

As TVLine reported back in July, the original Mayans MC pilot, which was shot last winter, was scrapped for creative reasons.

It also boasted a large talented Latino cast whose mythology has been brought to life by showrunner and actor Kurt Sutter, whose character Otto was an incarcerated figure that endured a martyr's existence.

Set in a post-Jax Teller world, Mayans MC kicks off after the events of the Sons of Anarchy series finale. Now EZ must carve out his new outlaw identity in a town where he once was the golden boy who had the American Dream within his grasp.

In addition to Pardo, the "Mayans MC" cast includes Edward James Olmos, Sarah Bolger, Clayton Cardenas, Richard Cabral, Michael Irby, Raoul Trujillo, Antonio Jaramillo and Carla Baratta.

Mayans MC promises to be a new and visceral chapter told in Sons of Anarchy MC style. After a tour of duty in Iraq and one in Pelican Bay, Bishop was sent by Alvarez to set up and run the critical Mexi-Cali border charter.

Noberto Barba directed the reworked pilot and will executive produce with Sutter.

It is not immediately clear if Mayans MC, which will be distributed internationally by Twentieth Century Fox Television Distribution, will be winging its way to the UK.

The follow up to "Sons of Anarchy" will begin airing just about 10 years after "Sons of Anarchy" first hit the air.

The new logo for the series was revealed on Friday along with the debut of the shows official Twitter account. Launched in June of 1994, FX is carried in 91 million homes.
