Reports that Taylor Swift's ticket sales so far for the Reputation Tour are not doing well are seriously misguided as the tour is on track to be one of the top selling of all time. There are still hundreds if not thousands of tickets left for every show, despite seats having been available to the public since the Swift's birthday on December 13.
Tickets for the July 13 show will go on sale at 10 a.m. on January 31 at ticketmaster.com.
Ticketmaster's Verified Fan programme has also been blamed for its stringent measures stopping scalpers from purchasing tickets. "We're not trying to sell all of her tickets in one minute; we're trying to figure out how to sell tickets in a more modern way". Red seats are resale tickets.
Swift sold her Reputation album for over a million within four days of its release on November 10, so one would expect that ticket sales for the album tour would follow the same trend. However, that does not seem to be the case, according to an article published by the New York Post.
Sources now tell Billboard each show on the tour is forecast to sell between $7.5 million and $10 million worth of tickets.
"Fans who register and have been previously verified via Taylor Swift Tix will receive priority access ahead of any new registrants", organizers said in a news release.
The singer will now be performing at the Patriots' home field on July 26, 27, and 28 as part of a worldwide tour in support of her new album, "Reputation". Turns out that the upcoming Reputation tour... may not match those numbers.
The Reputation Stadium Tour kicks off on 8 May (18) in Glendale, Arizona.
