Samsung Max Launched, Will Replace Opera Max

Samsung launches data-saving and privacy-protecting Samsung Max app for Android

Samsung Max app launched; comes with 'Data Saving Mode' and 'Privacy Protection'

Samsung has revealed a new, free Android app - Samsung Max, which it says is "designed to promote mobile data savings and application privacy management".

Similar to Opera Max, Samsung Max will help users cut back on their monthly data usage while also ensuring their online connection is as secure as can be.

The Samsung Max app emphasises on two key features- to check data usage and manage privacy. Altogether, the tech firm claims that the Data Saving Mode will help reduce the money spent by people on mobile data plans. There is also the ability to block background data usage.

Samsung has announced Samsung Max. Sit tight, and we'll see if Samsung makes this available on phones from different manufacturers soon. Primarily, the Samsung Max app not just compress but also encrypt all the network traffic that flows from your apps using Samsung's in-house servers.

Samsung plans to include Samsung Max on all Galaxy A and Galaxy J series smartphones to users in India, Argentina, Brazil, Indonesia, Mexico, Nigeria, South Africa, Thailand, and Vietnam.

While Samsung hasn't mentioned third-party devices, the app is confirmed to be working on a HomTom HT50 with no problems. The new browser will unsurprisingly be named Samsung Max, letting you know that while the company maintaining it may have changed, the mission of this browser is staying the same. In addition, the app provides tracker blocking and a DNS masking service to further enhance the security of the user.

Former Trump aide Rick Gates expected to plead guilty in Mueller probe
The federal investigation into their lobbying work began in September 2016, about a month after Manafort left Trump's campaign. Even before he pleaded guilty on Friday, Gates was seeking a request from the court to go on vacation.

While the Samsung Max by default serves ads, you can choose whether to view ads inside the app or on the lock screen only while your device is plugged in and charging.

It seems that Samsung has taken upon itself to bring the app from the dead. Users will be able to download Samsung Max on other Samsung devices via Google Play or Galaxy Apps stores.

Samsung has finally revived the Opera Max by launching it as Samsung Max.

"At Samsung, we've been committed to creating inclusive data saving and privacy protection services for all our devices", said Seounghoon Oh, Vice President Samsung R&D Institute India.

It is worth noting here that the Samsung Max app is presently incompatible with devices other than the eligible Samsung devices.
