Nokia resurrects bright yellow "banana phone"

Nokia goes 'bananas' with new retro phone

First Nokia and the Microsoft focused a lot on the U.S. market with the Lumia devices and even after lots of marketing and partnerships never achieved that kind of traction they got in Europe.

The Nokia 1 offers the lowest price of the four smartphones announced.

The phone will be available in May in either black or banana yellow (what, no dark green?) for €79, which is around £70 thanks to Britain's poor decision making a couple of years ago.

The glass-and-steel body curves around the sides of the device to create a sharp edge that's more stylish than functional.

While the new Nokia phones are pretty straightforward, the Windows Phone news is more confusing. That's because this is 4G-enabled feature phone with Nokia's new Smart Feature OS.

Conor McGregor says he put name into UFC 222 vs. Frankie Edgar
UFC President Dana White said on Wednesday that he will strip Conor McGregor of his UFC lightweight championship title. The UFC has flirted with the idea of stripping him of a second title but has thus far refused to commit.

The new Nokia 6 is powered by a Snapdragon 630 mobile processor, which is a huge boost from the Snapdragon 430 from the Nokia 6 a year age.

The rest of the specs are as high-end as the design. However, colors are bright and vivid, and in our opinion the display looks better than just about any 2017 flagship. They both look great and, just as importantly, the build quality is excellent. If that was not enough, the iconic phone will include LTE support across Europe with dual-SIM versions available. The Sirocco only has 18 apps installed out of the box. In 1999, it was so popular that one of its devices, the Nokia 8110, appeared in the first Matrix movie. Apart from the full-view display, the device also comes with a re-designed rear camera. We'll of course have to wait and watch out on that one, but, it's nice to know buyers will have a number of options to choose from in the days to come.

Nokia 8 Sirocco runs on Android 8 Oreo. It's made entirely out of plastic - with smooth matte finish that feels good in the hands - and comes with a fairly generic design reminiscent of any other budget phone in the market.

Apple - Although as usual the US tech giant isn't unveiling any new products at Mobile World Congress, Apple still managed to stir up anticipation this week after a report from Bloomberg revealed it is developing three new smartphones, including an extra-large iPhone-moves that would come in wake of disappointing sales for its much hyped iPhone X.
