Uhuru Kenyatta and opposition leader Raila Odinga to work together

Alfred Mutua has issued a warning following the meeting between Raila Odinga and President Uhuru Kenyatta.

Friday's truce between political arch-rivals President Uhuru Kenyatta and Nasa leader Raila Odinga has rekindled the role of the worldwide community, which has in the past midwifed political deals. The meeting came just hours before a visit by U.S. Secretary of State Rex Tillerson.

That kind of public pressures augurs well for the success of the two leaders' efforts, both of whom made concessions to get the process underway.
