But we are learning a bit more about the sequel from Marvel Studios president, Kevin Feige. The first installment has officially been in theaters for a month and is days away from crossing the billion-dollar milestone at the worldwide box office, which is pretty fantastic considering that the movie was only tracking for a $120 million opening weekend.
"We absolutely will do that", Feige said of a second "Black Panther" film, though he wouldn't reveal any plot secrets.
Only four other Marvel movies have grossed over a billion dollars - The Avengers, Avengers: Age of Ultron, Iron Man 3, and Captain America: Civil War. The report also noted that Disney would not only campaign for "Black Panther" but also for the upcoming film, "Mary Poppins Returns".
