Katy Perry Responded to an "American Idol" Contestant Who Loves Taylor Swift

Show-stopper Katy Perry appeared as energetic as ever during her dazzling performance in Brazil's Allianz Parque stadium in Sao Paulo on Saturday evening

Katy Perry says she 'loves' Taylor Swift 'as a songwriter' – but is she just throwing more shade?

But on the most recent episode of ABC's reboot of the TV talent competition, some of the most awkward auditions were compiled into a montage, with one of them referencing a longtime feud one of the Idol judges has had with a rival singer. The singer made an American Idol contestant uncomfortable when she gave him his first kiss, and she's now tied up in an ongoing legal battle against a group of nuns (one of whom died in court) over a piece of land.

When American Idol judge Luke Bryan asked a potential contestant which artist he most looks up to, the Idol wannabe looked straight at fellow judge Katy Perry and issued an upfront apology. "I love Taylor Swift", he explained, according to a March 18 report by Hollywood Life. Cautious before answering, he admitted: "I'm sorry for this Katy ... 'I love [Swift] as a songwriter as well". Since then, the two have taken shots at each other via Twitter, interviews, and in their music ("Bad Blood" and "Look What You Made Me Do" are rumored to be about Perry, while Perry's "Swish Swish" is apparently about Taylor).

"She did something so disgusting", Swift told Rolling Stone.

And in 2012, WAVY reported that a piece of concrete fell from the Jordan Bridge onto the railroad tracks below, hurting 4 people. MCM, the company that built the bridge offsite and transported it to FIU, said it's cooperating with federal investigators.

"I just want to know who you are. I think pushing Marcus to be social, has actually encouraged me to actually go out and be okay with who I am".

The two have been fighting back and forth ever since.

The last time Perry spoke about the drama was on Australia's Today Show saying, "I love her, I always have". When I'm not scrolling through various timeline's I'm researching skin care regiments and watching the Cleveland Cavaliers.
