Crenshanda Williams, 44, was found guilty on Wednesday of interference during emergency telephone calls by residents of Harris County, Texas, according to Fox News.
Harris County prosecutors said the county had an obligation to hold public servants criminally accountable when they break the law and the community's trust.
Among the other calls she ended prematurely was that of Hua Li, who dialed emergency services to report a gas station robbery and shootout in March 2016.
"The citizens of Harris County rely on 911 operators to dispatch help in their time of need", said assistant district attorney Lauren Reeder, per KTRK-TV.
Court documents indicate an unusually high number of short calls for Williams that were under 20 seconds long.
Williams was sentenced to 10 days in jail and 18 months of probation.

The check showed that Williams had also been the one to end the call, on thousands of occasions.
Crenshanda Williams, the 911 operator who famously didn't have time to talk with Houston residents trying to report emergencies and hung up on them had her day in court and was not a victor. A man called after an armed robber entered a convenience store where he was buying lottery tickets.
People calling about homicides or robberies were simply hung up on in a time of need. The man called 911 and was hung up on by Williams, according to police. "Come to find out I was hung up on", he said.
The engineer was forced to call back, and by the time responders arrived the clerk had died. Court documents indicate Williams took the call, and before the caller could finish speaking, she reportedly said, "Ain't nobody got time for this".
Williams' attorney, Franklin Bynum, said the case revealed "systematic" problems at the Houston Emergency Center.
I don't know about you, but I have never had a 911 call that short in my life. "But punishing her doesn't do anything to fix the problems that still exist at the emergency center".
