LeBron James, Jeff Green Lead Cavs to the NBA Finals

Cavs even up the Eastern Conference Finals in Game 4, and now the pressure is really on Boston to win Game 5

LeBron James' Exhaustion Is One Of Three Reasons Why There Should Be No Hope In Cleveland

Game 7 it is again for James and the Cleveland Cavaliers, who defeated the Boston Celtics 109-99 in Game 6 of the Eastern Conference finals on Friday.

James led all scorers with 46 points (17-33 FG, 5-7 3PT), 11 rebounds and nine assists, to go along with three steals and a block in 46 minutes.

LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers are back in the NBA Finals after outlasting the Boston Celtics in game seven of the Eastern Conference finals.

This series, in which home court has meant everything, will have a fitting conclusion Sunday at TD Garden, where the Celtics are 10-0 this postseason.

George Hill looked spry racking up 20 points, and Jeff Green showed up in Love's absence in what was a strong game for Cleveland's bench.

The Celtics' All-Star forward Al Horford was also unusually quiet with just six points while guard Terry Rozier had 28 and Jaylen Brown 27 points. That's just how dominant James has been this season, which is his 15th in the league.

"Been fortunate enough to play some good basketball through my career", James said.

Since the playoffs expanded to 16 teams, the only other players to average 30 points or more in three straight rounds on the way to the Finals were Allen Iverson and Michael Jordan, who did it twice.

James, who didn't take his first rest until 57.3 seconds remained in the third quarter, didn't let that happen. Not typically one to be outdone, it was James from start to finish in Game 6, and it's fair to assume there will be more to come. He's not only done it all so that everything feels like it's been said about him, but he has done it all at such a superlative level that you run out of effective modifiers to describe his accomplishments. Morris has not done as well of late in limiting James and to make matters worse, he has struggled to impact the game offensively. It had a few really good songs, but overall I didn't love it.

James often says the same thing, "staying in the moment".

James was writhing in pain on the floor, but eventually got up and finished the game.

Australia's Aron Baynes had his quietest game of the series, playing just 18 minutes and going scoreless while grabbing four rebounds. Golden State has managed just over 107 points a game in this series, and Houston has held the defending champions to 97 points in its three wins.

I can't wait to see if James can turn in another epic performance, much he like did when scoring 46 points with 11 rebounds and 9 assists in Friday's victory.

Yet when you have James, all you want is an opportunity.

By the end of the night, Green put up 19 points on 7-of-14 shooting to go along with eight rebounds.

While everyone has been pitching in, the tone on defense, especially in these last two games, has been set by the aggressive play of P.J. Tucker and Trevor Ariza, and Clint Capela's presence at the rim.

James has played more minutes and scored more points and had to do more than any other player on any team in these playoffs.
