Even though L.A. has yet to land one of those players, only the Golden State Warriors are given better odds to win the 2019 NBA Finals.

The most sought-after free agent in the National Basketball Association has sent his agent to meet with a high-level delegation from the Philadelphia 76ers in Los.

Much like the Lakers, the Sixers lack postseason experience and James would be surrounded by players who have barely tasted the postseason.

"Hart is part of why the Lakers could be poised to make the playoffs no matter what happens next season". But Boston is apparently somewhat apprehensive to go all-in on Leonard - partially based on the long-term health of the seven-year veteran Leonard, who played just nine games last season due to a quad injury. The Indiana University product excelled for the Lakers' G League affiliate but averaged 1.5 points and 1.1 rebounds in 15 appearances for Los Angeles.

Brazilians suggested their opponents were too violent; Swiss midfielder Gelson Fernandes thought Neymar has another problem. This was a bad day, but he can decide a match at any given moment.

James will factor family - he has three children, and his oldest son is a rising hoops star - into the choice of where he plays next.

Q: Any other ways for players to become free agents before their contract expires? Some believe it's actually just a two-team race between Cleveland and Los Angeles.

James, 33, is now deciding where he wants to play for the foreseeable future as the Los Angeles Lakers are reportedly in the mix to sign the four-time league MVP. The Lakers have more assets to offer the Spurs than the Clippers, giving them a real shot to execute a trade. Even adding just of the stars would make it almost impossible for Los Angeles to compete with the defending champs. James can also sign a short-term deal with Cleveland, something he has done each year since returning in 2014. Fox Sports One First Things First host Nick Wright took to his own Twitter account on Sunday morning to announce, "LeBron has made his decision and informed those close to him".

But while the Cavs and Lakers appear to be the front-runners for James, the Sixers aren't ready to give up the fight. The Houston Rockets were also thought to be in the mix, although his opting out seems to scuttle their chances as the Rockets would have likely needed a sign-and-trade deal to make a move work. On Sunday, at 12:01 a.m. eastern (11:01 p.m. central Saturday), James will be an unrestricted free agent, and agent Rich Paul is expected to contact several teams with the Lakers and Cavs atop his list.
