Inter Target Modric Interested In Leaving Real Madrid

Luka Modric opens talks to leave Real Madrid for Inter Milan as Arturo Vidal deal stalls

Modric is set for a summer move

Inter now have three of Modric's worldwide teammates on the payroll at the San Siro.

Gazzetta says Modric's wife, Vanja Bosnic, has made contact with Inter to offer the midfielder to the Italians.

Modric, who turns 33 in September, has been a key member of the Real Madrid squad having joined from Tottenham Hotspur in 2012.

Real Madrid president Florentino Perez has slapped a mammoth €750m price tag on World Cup Golden Ball victor and Inter target Luka Modric - but the figure could change dramatically should the Croatian decide he wants to leave, according to respected Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio.

From these same sources, it seems that Modric is willing to entertain the idea of a move to Italy, with a desire for one last big contract deal cited as his reasoning for wanting the move.

"The only possibility that Modric leaves is by paying $1.18 billion", Perez told reporters.

Police say 3 killed, 7 injured; 2 suspects
Near the scene of the shooting, beyond the police tape, people could be seen crying and hugging one another in comfort. None of the names of the dead or injured had been released by the New Orleans Police Department .

Maybe Cristiano Ronaldo won't be the only Real Madrid player who swaps Spain for Italy this summer. Despite rumours linking him with a remarkable summer switch to Inter, MARCA have been assured by Real Madrid and the player's own camp that the Croatian World Cup star will be staying put with the European Champions.

Inter Milan also showed interest in Arturo Vidal but is now poised to join Barcelona from Bayern Munich in a £27m deal.

In doing so, Inter can offset the deal over two financial years.

And they see Gundogan as a player that fits the bill.

The club have hit financial hard in recent times and are desperate to return to the top of Italian football.
