World Cup-winning striker Giroud laid on two goals for Hazard as the Belgium playmaker bagged a hat-trick in the Blues' 4-1 rout of Cardiff at Stamford Bridge on Saturday.
Quizzed on if Hazard agreed with him, Sarri said: "If you have seen Saturday's match, then I think so". "He has to improve some things, but he can do it".
Despite scoring the decisive goals and putting in a man-of-the-match performance, Hazard refused to take all the praise, instead lauding the target-man exploits of Giroud.
Sarri is just the fourth manager to win his first five Premier League games in charge, and is being hailed as a genius for turning Chelsea around after a hard spell in the final months of Conte's reign.

After THR's report, The Wrap reporter Umberto Gonzalez also put out a piece confirming the news. Cavill appears next in the Netflix adaptation of " The Witcher ".
"I think so", Sarri replied when asked if Hazard is capable of being the league's top scorer. "When he's got the ball, he can hold the ball and we can go with him in deep".
Despite Chelsea's fluency in attack, Sarri is aware the Stamford Bridge team must improve their defending.
The west London club are two points clear of defending champions Manchester City but Sarri said both City and second-placed Liverpool are "better" than his side. "So yeah, for us it's a pleasure for us to play with him". I think it's normal that in this period we have some defensive problems. So I have to organise them better defensively and the players have to understand that'.
"We have to improve step by step".
The Italian insists that while the end goal is to make Chelsea the best team in England, it could take as long as 18 months to achieve that target with defensive issues still remaining as he overhauls the club's system to a pressing style.
