Mike Zimmer gave the most cold-blooded explanation for cutting the Vikings kicker

The Minnesota Vikings have signed kicker Dan Bailey, owner of the second-best field goal percentage in National Football League history and replacement for rookie Daniel Carlson.

Carlson was cut after missing three field goals in the Vikings' 29-29 tie with the Packers on Sunday.

The Minnesota Vikings brought in a new kicker on Monday, and coach Mike Zimmer did not mince words when it came to the outgoing one.

Between all the games Sunday, there were nine games that had a missed field goal or failed PAT.

Carlson missed attempts from 48 yards in the first quarter and 49 and 35 in overtime.

He's coming off the worst season of career after missing four games because of a groin injury.

Cora told reporters he respects Trump, but noted that he doesn't "agree with a lot of stuff he says about us". Then, a long time later, they began to report large numbers, like 3000...,' one tweet reads.

During pre-season, Joseph managed three field goals and converted both extra points from touchdowns.

They didn't immediately announce a replacement for Carlson. Blair Walsh never fully recovered from his 27-yard miss in the subzero cold of the playoff game against the Seattle Seahawks after the 2015 season. Head coach Mike Zimmer surely won't stand for that, and a tough conversation about a kicker general manager Rick Spielman chose to trade up for in April's draft is looming.

Carlson sent 9 of 10 kickoffs for touchbacks, and the other one was a squib returned for 8 yards to Green Bay's 31. "I don't know. It's hard to figure out. But things happen, I guess".

The Vikings drafted Carlson in the fifth round of this year's draft.

"That's water off a duck's back", Zimmer said. "I'm not anxious about that". We shall see what that means for Treadwell, a player they'd most likely bench instead of cutting (unless they really need the roster spot). "He's a fast guy", Zimmer said.
