According to a document Avenatti posted on Twitter, the woman alleges she witnessed Kavanaugh "consistently engage in excessive drinking and inappropriate contact of a sexual nature with women in the early 1980s".

Trump, who himself faced allegations of sexual misconduct during the 2016 presidential campaign, again accused Democrats of "a con game" and praised how Republicans have handled Ford's allegation. But the Democrats - who have called for the FBI to reopen its background check investigation of Kavanaugh - made their objections to the process clear and subsequently refused to ask the judge questions, the person said.

The front of Kavanaugh's 1982 calendar is filled with doodles of stars.

Kavanaugh's interview aired on Monday, a day after a former Yale University classmate claimed he sexually assaulted her at a party 35 years ago. He ended up attending that Ivy League School. "And the truth is that I have never sexually assaulted anyone - not in high school, not in college, not ever".

At least four Republican senators, including two women who have been outspoken against sexual abuse, have withheld judgment, acknowledging the potential validity of Blasey Ford's allegation despite the amount of time that has passed and the paucity of hard evidence.

Minority Leader Chuck Schumer of NY said, "Leader McConnell should rethink what he said in the heat of the moment and apologize to Dr. Ford".

During the Fox interview, Kavanaugh said that while there were high school parties with beer and he wasn't ideal, "I'm a good person".

The accusations from Ford and Ramirez roiled the Supreme Court nomination process at the 11th hour, energizing sexual assault victims and the broader #MeToo movement, threatening Kavanaugh's career and reputation and risking the court's standing as it prepares for Monday's start of the 2018 term.
