Meanwhile, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has promised that details of Khashoggi's killing "will be revealed in all its nakedness" in an address he'll make before parliament on Tuesday.

The Turkish government told US officials that it has audio and video recordings, which confirmed that Khashoggi killed in the Consulate of Saudi Arabia in Istanbul.

The investigations were carried out by the Public Prosecution and it investigated a number of suspects on the basis of information provided by the Turkish authorities to the Joint Investigation Team to determine whether any of them had any information or involvement regarding the incident noting that the information provided to the investigation team indicate that Jamal Khashoggi has left the consulate. "That is unacceptable to the government".

Saudi Arabia's Foreign Minister formally acknowledged on air that the killing of Khashoggi was a "tremendous mistake".

Saudi Arabia has finally admitted that Khashoggi was killed inside the consulate in what Ankara now says was a "savagely planned" murder.

Pelosi also criticized the Trump administration for continuously saying it needed more facts, saying its response showed it was "against freedom of the press, against foreign powers" and made it "look kind of silly".
