More suspicious packages sent to Joe Biden, actor Robert De Niro

Secret Service: Suspicious packages sent to Clintons, Obamas

Trump asks media to 'stop hostility' after mail bombs

There is developing news out of Delaware and New York City, where authorities have launched an investigation into suspicious packages addressed to former Vice President Joe Biden and actor Robert De Niro.

The FBI said one of the two packages sent to Mr Biden - who once said he would have fought Mr Trump if they were in high school - was discovered at a mail facility in his home state of de and the second at another location.

The package contained a pipe bomb and was addressed to De Niro, whose Tribeca Productions shares the restaurant's address.

NBC's NY affiliate reported early Thursday morning that police were responding to a suspicious package at a Tribeca building that is owned by De Niro and houses his office and the Tribeca Grill.

It is still unclear why they were asked to vacate the building or if it was linked to the suspicious packages.

Trump responded by tweeting that he thinks De Niro may have been hit too hard in his past movie roles.

Police sent the package to a secure facility in the Bronx, said New York Police Department Commissioner James O'Neill. "We condemn the actions that led to these activities in the strongest possible terms and are determined to make sure we get to the bottom of it and justice is done".

"The building is open and everybody is safe", she told CNN.

The tweet Thursday by former Central Intelligence Agency head John Brennan came shortly after Trump tweeted that much of the anger in society is caused by the "purposely false and inaccurate reporting of the Mainstream Media".

Trump foresees no Democratic 'blue wave' coming
Republicans hold a 63-46 majority in the House, with one vacancy, and a 27-10 margin in the Senate, where one seat is empty. But he insisted the GOP is working toward introducing something in the next few weeks.

The NYPD bomb squad X-rayed the parcel and chose to remove it for investigation.

It's unclear if this package is similar in nature to others addressed to prominent Democrats and to the CNN offices in NY on Wednesday.

An explosive device was found at CNN's NY officers at the Time Warner Center on Columbus Circle on October 24, 2018. Maxine Waters and Debbie Wasserman Schultz and former CIA Director John Brennan.

Neither bomb got close to its intended target, and neither contained a written message, according to law enforcement officials, but the twin discoveries led to other undetonated devices being found elsewhere, including in the mailroom at CNN's NY headquarters and a district office of Rep.

"We would not be at all surprised if more devices show up", said Cuomo, a Democrat, at a media briefing on Wednesday afternoon local time.

George Soros: A suspicious package found Monday appeared to be an explosive device targeting the billionaire investor and philanthropist. At least one bomb was packed with shards of glass, a federal source said.

"The media also has a responsibility to set a civil tone and stop the endless hostility and constant negative, and often times false attacks and stories", he told a campaign rally late Wednesday.

Democrats accuse the Republican head of state of inciting violence after crude, homemade bombs were addressed to Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton, CNN and other figures who are loathed by Trump supporters.

The first such package was discovered Monday at the NY home of George Soros, a billionaire activist known to fund pro-democracy and liberal political groups, many of whom have been targets of President Donald Trump's incendiary rhetoric. Each bore a computer-printed address label and six "Forever" postage stamps, the Federal Bureau of Investigation said. "Your inflammatory rhetoric, insults, lies, & encouragement of physical violence are disgraceful". "BTW, your critics will not be intimidated into silence".
