Neymar was withdrawn early for Brazil and Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting hopes his PSG team-mate is not seriously injured.

Paris Saint-Germain have identified the injuries suffered by Neymar and Kylian Mbappe while on global duty.

Neymar limped off after just eight minutes of Brazil's 1-0 friendly win against Cameroon on Wednesday.

Neymar played down his injury, saying in an Instagram message that "it was nothing serious".

"He felt some discomfort in the groin region and left [the pitch] complaining about that discomfort", Rodrigo Lasmar told Sportv.

A statement on the club's official wesbite read: "Neymar Jr and Kylian Mbappe have undergone medical examinations today that confirmed: for Neymar an elongation of the right adductors".

But there is also little doubt Alabama would be favored on a neutral field against any team in the country. The committee has already twice sent teams that did not reach their conference title games to the playoff.

"He was evaluated and he has already started treatment, but will need a little bit more time to have a better assessment, with a scan, but initially it doesn't seem like an important injury".

For Kylian Mbappe a contusion of the right shoulder.

All four sides could still qualify for the knockout phase from Group C. Liverpool have the same number of points as leaders Napoli while PSG sit third, one point behind Liverpool and one point ahead of Red Star Belgrade.

Neymar was Brazil's match victor against Uruguay on Saturday but went down in pain after attempting a shot in what appears to be a muscle injury.

Liverpool head to Parc des Princes next Wednesday night for their penultimate game in Group C of the Champions League, with victory enough to secure passage to the last 16.

We closed the year happy for the work done so far, these last games were important to recover from the biggest hit that was the World Cup, we remained strong, focused and aiming to be increasingly better.
